…..And Just What do you say ?

There is little sadder then death, unless it’s the death of a baby.
Last night the world as we know it came to a crumbling end for my friend John.
I am sure the baby was under three months old.
Here is an extract of John’s FaceBook message.

Today the news is the most horrible we could have gotten. The results of the MRI and angiogram were not good. Madelyn doesn't have the necessary tissue to build a pulmonary artery. Our surgeon, world renowned for his prowess in this field, doesn't think she'll survive the operations. It would be a miracle to survive one, and she'd need at least three. And she's unable to process all the blood and oxygen she needs on her own.

Our darling baby is not expected to make it very much longer.

I was just reading random blogs and came upone yours since we both like Black Like Me. I'm sorry for your friend's loss. The baby was beautiful. Every child- so amazing. Take care.

I wish I could tell you the words that would inspire hope in Eva and John. I wish I could tell you all about God's plan of amazing happiness and have you understand and be filled with such hope for the future. It makes so much sense to the open heart. But not everyone is ready to listen. We can't force anything on anyone. Anyway. take care.

No one can know what to say...
The most you can do is be there for them, share their tears, and help them rebuild.

I hope that they are getting better, and I hope that you are as well.

All of you are in my prayers.
