A Double, Double

Ok, I don’t get it. Wars in over half the world, global warming, and one of the biggest news stories this week is about a donut shop. Tim Horton who annually has a “Roll Up The Rim To Win” promotion is in the midst of a true conundrum. It seems that one of their winning cups was found in the garbage by a little girl. Unable to ‘roll up the rim” herself she sought the aid of her friend. You guessed it the cup was a winner; the prize was an SUV. The families of the two girls are now involved in a major dispute. The family of the girl who picked the cup out of the garbage say the prize belongs to her, the family of the girl who did the rolling says the prize belongs to her. NOW a lawyer wants to perform DNA testing on the cup and find the person who trashed the cup. Tim Hortons is washing their hands on the deal saying they will award the prize to the person who brings the cup to them.
Now I think it would be a hoot if the contest deadline came and went during this whole kafuffle.
