The reason for this concern and warning is that Toronto has received it’s first significant snow of the season (5cms)
Traffic ground to a halt. Extra road crews were called in. Contemplation of school closure took place. Stores were open extra hours to accommodate the “round the block” people.
So beware if the 401 is in your plans for the next few days.Pack extra clothing, dress in layers,and notify next of kin of your intention to travel.
