Extra Napkins Please

Man landing on the moon, the assignation of JFK, the first Ford on the road, all historic events to be sure. But today is an event that is amazing. Today is the fiftieth anniversary of the invention of poutine.

Now for those of you are unaware as to what poutine is, it is a plate or dish of French fries covered in a thick brown sauce (not that Bar Bq junk) then heaped with melting curd cheese.

Now this dish is not recognized as a suitable meal by Weight Watcher but man or man a poutine with a cold glass of Kik cola will put a smile on your face and a clog in your arteries.

Out side of Quebec I’m not sure if you can buy the real thing but outside of Montreal you can’t get a real smoke meat sandwich either.

The dish is so unique that Microsoft Office doesn’t even recognize it as a word

So order a couple of steamies, and a poutine, just not more then three times a week, four if you don’t tell your doctor
