Yo Bro !!

It’s a snug past six PM and by now Air force One is safely in American airspace.

We Canadians have entertained B.O. and we assume he had a good time, typical tourist even stopped at the Bywood Market and “bought” cookies for his girls.

Now I’m wondering:

Does The President have to be at the airport two hours before departure?

Does he pass through security and take his shoes off.?

Does he pay attention to the safety lecture by the stewardess ?

Does he know his seat cushion is a flotation device ?

I’m kidding….. come back soon.

Triskaidekaphobia

Today is Friday the 13th.(depending on your time zone) It’s probably happened a few times in you life, and you I presume made it through.
Christ was supposedly crucified on a Friday the 13th, there was a paintings revealing13 guests at the table for the Last meal. I am surmising that 13 can raise many signs of bad luck.
Italians however and maybe others consider the number 13 lucky, go figure.
I leave this however for your consideration, Friday the 13th only occurs when the first of the month is a Sunday.
Take careful note there is also Friday 13th in March.

Amazon Country

Hi
It wasn’t the end of the world, no one passed away and the sun will come up tomorrow.
I learned on the 8:30 news with Jason Mayoff on CJAD radio that one of my favorite restaurants after thirty years of business would close. Picassos on St Jacques Street would be no more. Picassos was the original home of the twenty-four hour breakfast. They had a full menu but breakfast was the call. The orange melmac plates were always filled. Eggs the way you ordered them, and bacon fried the way you liked it, and beans oh my there were beans toast etc etc and the bottomless cup of coffee, in fact they always left a pot of java at your table.
Thank-you Picassos, now the burning question is where will the strippers eat (you’d have to know the place, right John?)

Thinking on your Feet

A man in the Florida supermarket tries to buy half a head of lettuce. The very young produce assistant tells him that they sell only whole heads of lettuce. The man persists and asks to see the manager. The boy says he'll ask his manager about it.

Walking into the back room, the boy said to his manager, "Some idiot wants to buy half a head of lettuce." As he finished his sentence, he turned to find the man standing right behind him, so he added, "And this gentleman has kindly offered to buy the other half."

The manager approved the deal, and the man went on his way.

Later the manager said to the boy, "I was impressed with the way you got yourself out of that situation earlier. We like people who think on their feet here. Where are you from, son?"

"Canada, sir," the boy replied.

"Well, why did you leave Canada?" the manager asked.

The boy said, "Sir, there's nothing but hookers and hockey players up there."

"Really?" said the manager. "My wife is from Canada."

"Oh yeah?" replied the boy. "what team did she play for?"
