Soapy Puppy

A young boy, about eight years old, was at the corner "Mom & Pop" grocery picking out a pretty good size box of laundry detergent.

The grocer walked over, and, trying to be friendly, asked the boy if he had a lot of laundry to do.

"Oh, no laundry," the boy said, "I'm going to wash my dog."

"But you shouldn't use this to wash your dog. It's very powerful and if you wash your dog in this, he'll get sick. In fact, it might even kill him."

But the boy was not to be stopped and carried the detergent to the counter and paid for it, even as the grocer still tried to talk him out of washing his dog.

About a week later the boy was back in the store to buy some candy. The grocer asked the boy how his dog was doing.

"Oh, he died," the boy said.

The grocer, trying not to be an I-told-you-so, said he was sorry the dog died but added, "I tried to tell you not to use that detergent on your dog."

"Well," the boy replied, "I don't think it was the detergent that killed him."

"Oh? What was it then?"

"I think it was the spin cycle!"

Nice Doggy

Today there was something special at the store. JCP is a major sponsor of the Mira Foundation. The cashes are prepared to accept donations.
The Mira Foundation trains dogs as guide dogs to help sight impared people.
Today at the store there was one of their trainers and two of the dogs. If you wished you could be hoodwinked (blindfolded) and a dog with the aid of the trainer take you for a walk around the store.
It must have been a challenge for "Simba" to lead a stranger.
So if you get to a Jean Coutu Pharmacy here in Quebec, Ontario, or New Brunswick and if you can give a Loony bravo …. What a great cause

I can however tell a joke if I like it I may tell it more then once.

Shame there isn’t a show called So You Think You Can Tell a Joke….Canuk

Up Date ....Up Date

Hello
Well I’m kinnda in mid week of week three at my new job with Jean Coutu Pharmacy in my home town of Ville LaSalle. With being part time come the responsibilities of getting use to writing down my hours of a given week. One of the weirdest things is trying to get use to “our” week starting on a Sunday. So far I haven’t come to work on the wrong day. Some days I start at eight some at ten, some days I finish at five and then some at six. One day I started at one and finished at eight (P.M.). So prudence is key, I work for a variety of managers, so to mention which are the best would not be wise, suffice to say Mike and Eric know where it’s at. Most of the other staff are women and lunch time in the staff room where there are micro wave ovens, fridges, coffee machines and all the stuff a lunchroom needs is a kin to being in a hen house.
Emir is a full timer and spends most of his time in section 513, that’s paper supplies and diapers, and cleaning supplies. His forty hour week is very busy.
Every day for me brings new learning challenges in merchandising and facing. Who said old dogs can’t learn new tricks?

Now That's a Relief

Little Johnny was sitting in class one day. All of a sudden, he needed to go to the bathroom. He yelled out, "Miss Jones, I need to take a pee!"

The teacher replied, "Now Johnny, that is NOT the proper word to use in this situation. The correct word to use is ‘urinate.' Please use the word ‘urinate' in a sentence correctly, and I will allow you to go."

Little Johnny things for a bit, then says, "You're an eight, but if you let me go pee, you'd be a ten!"

Personelle Brand

Today was day four of my new job With Jean Coutu Pharmacies, As many of you know I have been searching for work for some time now.
On Thursday last I went to Jean Coutu to purchase a Gillette Fusion razor and some shower gel.
As has become my practice I brought a résumé with me.
On Friday they called me to come for an interview on Tuesday (Monday was a holiday) and I started work Wednesday. When the interview was complete I was issued a PJC golf / polo shirt. It is a handsome dark blue with the PJC emblem on the breast. On Thursday I was given a pair of pants (unfortunately the Chinese 44 is not the same as a Canadian 44) so I have ordered a Chinese 46 for me.
My duties are many and varied including (clean up on aisle three)
Today I watched some training videos (without pop-corn) hehehehehee
Backing up a bit the night prior to my start I was knocked to my back side to on my car windshield a Bristol board sign and a good luck card from Rolanda and Gordon. They drove all the way from Chateauguay to do that just for me, thanks guys. Rolanda has also volunteered to hem my new pants when they come from Omar the tent maker.
So too all, thanks for going through the past months with me

Elderly Couple Discuss Marriage

An elderly couple, who were both widowed, had been going out with each other for a long time.
Urged on by their friends, they decided it was finally time to get
married.

Before the wedding, they went out to dinner and had a long
conversation regarding how their marriage might work.
They discussed finances, living arrangements, and so on.

Finally, the old gentleman decided it was time to broach the
subject of their physical relationship. 'How do you feel about
sex?' he asked, rather tentatively.

'I would like it infrequently' she replied.
The old gentleman sat quietly for a moment, adjusted his glasses
and leaned over towards her and whispered
'Is that one word or two?'

A Point for the SAQ (ok 2points)

Well, first if you are reading this today (September 1, 2008) happy Labour Day.
As I told you a few blogs ago as of today the SAQ was going to start charging for the plastic bags they have.
Imagine my surprise today (yes they were open) when I was given a fabric/canvas bag for my purchases.
The bag is divided into four and so will accommodate four bottles.
The SAQ is spot on with this idea and should be padded on the back.
Too many places have ideas but the SAQ has supported their idea with a solution.
I suspect in the new future a charge for plastic bags will be applied (five, ten & fifteen cents) in the mean time right on SAQ !!

(Kelly Lapare, CJAD 800 Radio)
The Quebec liquor board is going to start charging for bags as of tomorrow. The extra fee will cost you from five to fifteen cents depending on the size bag you need..

The SAQ is hoping to do away with single use paper and plastic bags by January 2009 and says the move will reduce the number of bags used in Quebec by about 80 million annually.)
